January 2010 Changes to Racing Rules
Originally published on 7th December 2009

In November the International Sailing Federation (ISAF) announced several changes in The Racing Rules of Sailing for 2009-2012 to take effect on 1 January 2010. For most racing sailors, the changes, though meaningful, probably won't affect you too much. However if you are on a Protest Committee, a Rules nerd (like us), or sailing at the higher levels then you should become familiar with the changes. You can see the changes in detail at www.sailing.org/30355.php.

Here at RulesMaster we have just finshed an updater to RulesMaster Racing 2012 which takes the changes into account. This is free of charge to registered users of RulesMaster Racing 2012 and is avfailable at www.rulesmaster.com/updates.
